Our Management Team
Gideon Schlessinger is the Chief Executive Officer of Design Group Americas and is based in Atlanta, GA. Gideon joined IGDG in April of 2015 and previously worked for 20 years for ACCO Brands, the world’s largest office products company where he gained vast knowledge on paper and printing. Gideon holds an MBA from the University of Chicago as well as a BA in Political Philosophy from the University of Illinois in Champaign. Originally from Chicago, Gideon now resides in Atlanta with his wife Cindy and has three grown daughters that live across the globe.
Tas Papasolomontos is the Chief Financial Officer of Design Group Americas. He steps into the role following 2 and a half years as Group Controller, based in the UK Tas joined Design Group in 2016 prior to which he spent most of his career in financial consulting, most recently as a Director with KPMG audit and advisory. He also worked for British Airways, where he ran the Group financial reporting team and Kingston Smith, a UK top 20 accounting firm, where he earned his ACA (UK qualification similar to CPA). Tas earned his B.S. in International Business and French from Aston University. Tas, his wife Jane, and their three young children relocated to Atlanta in late 2018.
VP of Supply Chain & Logistics
Eric Narvaez is the current VP of Supply Chain & Logistics, he is responsible for developing and executing the Design Group Americas’ Supply Chain strategy in support of the overall direction of the company. Prior to joining Design Group Americas, Eric has held various leadership roles and worked for companies such as FedEx, WW Grainger, Pier 1 and Dell. Eric holds an M.B.A. from Clemson University. Eric is currently based in Savannah, Georgia.
Jake Elson is the Chief Information Officer for Design Group Americas and is based in Atlanta, GA. Jake is a business and technology leader with expertise in formulating and executing IT strategies to drive business growth, with a demonstrated track record of delivering value from IT investments globally. A proven winner with diverse global experience, Jake is a successful leader in building strong, diverse, global teams that deliver new capabilities and exceed client expectations. Jake is married and has three sons and one stepson.
CEO – Impact Innovations
John Dammermann was most recently CEO of Impact Innovations, Inc. John joined Impact Plastics Advertising, Inc. in 1982 at a time when sales were approximately $250,000. By 1999, Impact sales had grown to $30 million and seasonal consumer products had been added to the company’s portfolio. John sold Impact to Blythe Industries in January 2000 and worked as vice president of the Creative Expressions Group, focusing primarily on acquisition opportunities worldwide. Since purchasing Impact Innovations back from Blythe in 2006 when sales were $30 million, sales of Impact have grown to approximately $160 million under his leadership. John is responsible for the strategic direction of Impact, identifying areas of potential revenue growth, investment spending in management, manufacturing and sales through acquisition and organic growth.
Lawrence Louis joined IG Design Group in 1986 after practicing as a Chartered Accountant in the UK for 6 years. Lawrence came across to the USA to head up the business following the purchase of Hy-Sil Manufacturing in November 1988 – name changed to International Greetings USA shortly thereafter. After trading in Massachusetts for 8 years, he moved the factory to Midway GA in 1996 and stayed there until 2002, when he moved to Atlanta to open a design studio and sales office. Lawrence now heads up the Mass Market Sales team and Papercraft division and directly manages off price retailers such as TJX, Ross Stores and Tuesday Morning.
VP of Creative and Product Development
Lois Watson-Clapp, Vice President of Creative and Product Development, drives the creative, product and strategic vision of IG USA. With over 20 years of experience in gift wrap and greeting card design, Lois holds international recognition as a trend-setting leader of the gift packaging industry. Lois graduated with honors from De Montfort University, England in 1995. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
VP of Operations – Impact Innovations
Trisha White is the VP of Operations for Impact Innovations and is based in Memphis, TN. Trisha started her career with Cleo Inc. (part of CSS Industries) in 1997 and held many positions from finance, to customer services, to VP of marketing. She joined Impact in 2011, when Cleo was purchased and headed up the Marketing team for the Paper Division. Trisha has an MBA from the University of Memphis as well as a BA in Finance from Memphis State University.
VP and General Manager, Upscale Business Channel
Mary Clampett is the VP and General Manager, Upscale Business Channel, for IG Design Group – Americas and is based in North Carolina. Mary has been with IGDG for 23 years and has a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona. Mary is married and has two children.
General Manager – Lang Companies
Joe Fahy is the General Manager of the Lang Companies and resides in Chicago, IL. Although Joe joined the group in 2018, he has held several senior management positions in the wholesale gift, home and housewares industry for more than 30 years at companies including TAG, General Housewares Corp, Blyth Industries and Colonial Candle. Joe has a BA in History from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.
VP of Value Line Channel/Dollar Majors Channel
Nick Fineman is the Vice President of the Value Line Channel/Dollar Majors Channel at IG Design Group Americas headquarters, in Atlanta, GA. Originally from the UK, Nick began his career with International Greetings in England, before moving to the US to pursue opportunities in the value market. Nick resides in Atlanta with his wife and two sons.
CEO of Anker Play Products
Leon Summers is the Chief Executive Officer of Anker Play Products, a division of IG Design Group Americas, founded in Miami, FL in 2016. Originally from the UK, Leon began his career in importing and exporting, and has worked in the toy and creative play business for over a decade. Leon currently resides in Miami, FL.
CMO of Impact Innovations
Jane Hagert is the Chief Marketing Officer of Impact Innovations, Inc. In her role, she is responsible for managing Impact Innovations’ consumer product sales, marketing, product design and development, insuring that strategies align with our company’s strategic objectives for sales and profit revenue growth, as well as align with our corporate integrity and core values. In addition, Jane is responsible for Impact’s account management team and Hong Kong merchandising office which works closely with the US teams on sourcing, product development and order execution. Jane has worked at Impact since 1988. Jane is based in Clara City, Minnesota.
